TOOLS

Proper tools are a must if you want to complete a task with minimum frustration. Having the right tool makes the job go so much smoother. So when having to work on your scooter makes the investment in the right tool for the job, you will feel so happy you did. Here are tools that I have done extensive research on to find the proper tool needed for the job.

This is an ongoing list so check back to see what I add in the future.

Bearing Driver or Race Seal Driver

Bearing Race & Seal Installer Driver Kit

A Bearing Driver aids in the installation of bearings. It safely and without damage will install a bearing into a wheel or other component or housing.

This bearing driver set has a small enough drive piece for smaller bearings, like scooter wheels. This is an affordable set to get started with.

Bearing Removal Tool

Bearing Internal/Extractor Puller with Slide Hammer Removal Tool

Bearing Removal Tool, or it may be called a Bearing Extractor Tool is a tool made special for removing bearings. They come in many different sizes and styles, but all do the same job. Make removing bearings a whole lot easier.

How it works is, that a piece called a collet is inserted inside the bearing and then the bolt around the collet is tightened which widens the end of the collet inside the bearing, then the slide hammer is screwed on and slid back and forth until the bearing comes free. It is best to do this with a piece of wood holding the wheel.

Wrenches

Park Tools are one of the best tools on the market in the scooter and bicycle world. They offer high-quality tools and offer a great variety for all your needs.

This small Allen wrench set is great to carry with you when you are on the go and you just need to dial up your scooter, to keep it riding at its best!

This set includes metric sizes, 1.5mm, 2mm, 2.5mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, and 6mm.

Razors

Razor Scraper Set

Every toolbox needs a razor blade or two. These safety scrapers come in handy for many uses and enable the user more safety than holding a straight razor.

This is a good starter razor set for every starter tool kit. They are easy to hold and can perform many different functions. It is a personal favorite of mine.
